Details of Posts & Vacancy:
ITBP Police Force Recruitment 2017 in Head Constable (Combatant Ministerial) Posts. Total Vacancy is 62 Posts. Details of Vacancy Break up is given below -
Male Direct Entry - 45 Posts (UR 25, SC 8, ST 2, OBC 10).
Female 15% of Direct Entry - 8 Posts (UR 5, SC 1, OBC 2).
LDCE (ITBP Departmental Candidates Only - 9 Posts (UR 7, SC 1, ST 1).

Pay Scale:
Level 4 in the pay Matrix - Rs.25500 - 81100 (as per 7th CPC).
The post will carry Dearness Allowances, Ration Money, Special Compensatory Allowances (while posted in specified border areas), free uniform, free accommodation of HRA, Transport Allowances, Free Leave pass, Free Medical Facilities and other allowances as admissible in the force from time to time under the rules / instructions. These posts will be covered under Restructured Defined Contribution Pension Scheme.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates required age limit should be between 18 to 25 years (Direct Entry) & upto 40 years for (LDCE).
Upper age relaxation is applicable up to 5 years for SC / ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates and Other category candidates age relaxation is applicable as per Govt rules.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates minimum have Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (12th) examination passed from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.

Physical Standard:
All candidates belonging Scheduled Tribes (ST) category and Remote Area - Height 162.5 cms for Male / 150 cms for Female and Chest only for Male candidates is 76-81 cms.
All Others candidates - Height 165 cms (for Male) / 155 cms (for Female) and Chest only for Male candidates is 77-82 cms.
Weight  - Corresponding to height and age as per medical standards (for Male and Female candidates).

Selection Process:
1. Height Bar - At very beginning of recruitment process, candidates will go through the height bar test. The candidates not meeting the prescribed height will be eliminated.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - Those who qualify the Height Bar Test, will be subject to physical efficiency Test. The events of the PET are as follows -
For Male candidates - Race 1.6 Km to be complete within 7.30 Minutes, 11 Feet Long Jump, 3.5 Feet High Jump.
For Female candidates - Race 800 meter to be complete within 4.45 Minutes, 9 feet Long Jump & 3 Feet High Jump.
No marks will be awarded for this test and it will be only qualifying in nature.
3. Physical Standard Test (PST) - Candidates who qualify the PET will be screened for Height, Chest (Chest Measurement for male candidates only) and Weight measurement. Those who do not meet the required measurement as applicable will be eliminated at this stage.
4. Written Examination (100 marks) - The candidates qualified in PST will be required to pass the written examination (Objective type - OMR based) consisting of following -
General Arithmetic 30 marks, General English 25 marks, General English 35 marks, Theoretical knowledge of Computer 10 marks. Duration of examination is 3 hours.
Qualifying marks shall be 35% for General candidates & Ex -serviceman and 33% for Scheduled Tribes / Scheduled Caste / Other Backward Class in the written examination.
5. Skill Test - The skill test will comprise of typing test on a computer. Minimum speed of 35 words per minutes in English typing or minimum speed of 30 words per minutes in Hindi typing within 10 minutes corresponding to 10500 KDPH for English Typing and 9000 KDPH for Hindi an average of 5 key depressions for each word.
6. Merit List - Merit lists in each category namely, General, SC, ST, OBC and Ex-serviceman will be drawn on the basic of marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination.

Application Fee:
Male candidates belonging to General (UR) / OBC category applying for recruitment to the above posts should pay Rs.100 as application fee only through online payment gateway system on www.recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Females and Ex-serviceman are exempted from paying the fee.
