Scheme & Amount Details:
LNJN NICFS Merit and Means Scholarship - Financial assistance available under this scheme is Rs.2000 per months. The scholarship shall be released in quarterly installments on production of certificate of prescribed minimum attendance of 75% (barring exceptional circumstances on Medical ground supported by Medical Certificate to the satisfaction of the Director, NICFS) and securing 60% marks for General category and 55% of SC / ST / OBC category in first / third semester examination (as applicable).
LNJN NICFS Scholar Book Grant - Financial Assistance available under the scheme will be Rs.1000- per annum for the purchase of books. The books may be purchased in printed of electronic form. The book grant will be given to the students only on submission of receipts of books purchased provided that the receipts are countersigned by any faculty member of NICFS, in addition the books need to be relevant to the subject they are enrolled in the Institute. Relevancy of a book is also to be approved by a faculty member.

Eligibility Criteria:
Scholarship and Book Grant for 1st Year Students (MA Criminology / M.Sc Forensic Science) - The criterion of first year scholarship is purely the Common Entrance Test (CET) rank conducted by GGSIP for the MA Criminology and M.Sc Forensic Science Subject.
Scholarship and Book Grant for 2nd Year Students - Students from MA Criminology and M.Sc Forensic Science who scored maximum marks in the first and second semester examinations collectively (declared by GGSIP) will be awarded scholarship provided they have cleared all the subjects in both the semester.
Book Grant for 1st year.
Number of Scholarships:
Scholarships are divided into 2 categories -
MA Criminology - 12 Seats for 1st Year & 12 Seats for 2nd Year (Scholarship 6, Book Grant 6).
M.Sc Forensic Science - 12 Seat for 1st Year & 12 Seats for 2nd Year (Scholarship 6, Book Grant 6).

Condition of Scholarship:
1. For First Year students - If found ineligible, the applicant next in merit will be considered for the scholarship, in case of tie the one having higher marks in under graduate (UG) level will be given priority. A self attested copy of the CET Rank (GGSIP) has to be submitted along with application form.
2. For Second Year students - The students must maintain the minimum satisfactory performance (60% in 3rd semester examination for General category candidates and 55% marks for SC / ST / OBC candidates), in case of a tie of marks (total of 1st & 2nd Semester examination), the one having higher combined attendance in the theory and practical classes will be given preference. Copies of Self attested mark sheets of 1st and 2nd Semester have to be submitted along with the application form.
3. The students must not be getting stipend / scholarship / financial assistance under any other scheme of Central or State Government. They are to submit an undertaking for the same. 
4. Students applying under the Merit cum Means Scholarship will be eligible if the annual income of the parents / guardian does not exceed Rs.5 lakh, a certificate of income of parent / guardians, obtained from and duly attested by the employer has to be submitted along with the application, otherwise an application under this category will not be entertained.
5. In case parents / guardians is in private business, a self attested copy of Income Tax Return (Financial Year 2016-2017) has to be submitted with application form.
6. Self attested caste certificate for SC / ST / OBC issued by the Authorized authorities is to be submitted along with application form.

Filled up application forms carefully & completely.
Attached with all relevant documents.
Submit Application to Ms. Neelam Khurana Teaching Section and obtained the acknowledgement of receipt of the same.

Cancellation of Scholarship:
Misconduct of the awarded, if any reported to the Institution.
Unsatisfactory progress report, if the candidate scores less than 60% or 55% in case of SC / ST / OBC candidates in the First semester and Third semester of the Master degree program.
If the information / certificates submitted by the student are found to be incorrect / false, the scholarship is liable for cancellation (including forfeiture already released) and penal actions as per law.
