Pay Scale:
Assistant will draw a starting basic pay of Rs.14650 per months (Rs.13150 plus two advance increments admissible to Graduates) in the scale of 13150 - 34990 and other allowances (DA, HRA, City Compensatory Allowances, Transport Allowances etc.).

Age Limit:
Candidates required age between 20 to 28 years as on 01.10.2017. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.10.1989 and not later than 01.10.1997 (both days including) are only eligible to apply.
Upper age relaxation is applicable 5 years in case of SC / ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, 10 Years for PWD candidates, 13 years for PWD (OBC) candidates, 15 years for PWD (SC / ST ) candidates.
10 Years for Widows / Divorced women / women judicially separated who are not re-married.
5 years for candidates domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989.

Educational Qualification:
At least Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for for SC / ST / PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing.
A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-serviceman) should either be a graduate from a recognized university or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination or the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.
Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (Know to read, write & speak and understand the language) of the state / any of the states falling under the recruiting office.

Selection Process:
Selection for the assistant post will be through a country wide competitive examination in two phases (Preliminary Examination & Main Examination) followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Details of Procedure is given below.
Objective Type Preliminary Examination (100 Marks & 1 Hour duration) - English Language (30 Question, 30 Marks), Numerical Ability (35 marks, 35 question), Reasoning Ability (35 marks, 35 question).
Objective type Main Examination (200 Marks, 2 Hours 15 Minutes Time Duration) - Test of Reasoning (40 Question, 40 marks), Test of English Language (40 Question, 40 marks), Test of Numerical Ability (40 Question, 40 marks), Test of General Awareness (40 Marks, 40 Question), Test of Computer Knowledge ( 40 Marks, 40 Question).
The above main online tests excepts the Test of English Language will be available billingually (English / Hindi). Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests in the online examinations. There will be negative marks of for wrong answers in the Objective Tests (Preliminary & Main Examination) . 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT) - The candidates provisionally selected from the main online examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Languages of the state concerned. Candidates not proficient in the Official / Local Language would be disqualified.

Examination Fee:
Rs.450 for OBC / General Candidates (Examination Fees and Intimation Charges).
Rs.50 for SC / ST / PWD / Ex-Serviceman Candidates (Only Intimation Charges).
The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be complete by following the instructions.
The payment can be made by using Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking Banking, IMPS, Cash Card / Mobile Wallets.
After submitting payment information in the online application form. Wait for the intimation from the server. Do not press back or Refresh button in order to avoid double charge. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated. Non generation of E-receipt indicates payment Failure. On failure of payment, candidates are advised to login again using their Registration Number and Password and repeat the process of payment.
   
Application Procedure:
Candidates may go to the RBI website www.rbi.org.in and Click on option "Recruitment for the Post of Assistant" which will open a new Screen.
To Register application, choose the tab "Click here for New Registration" and enter Name, Contact details and Email -Id. A provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save data already entered by choosing "Save and Next' tab. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the "Save and Next" facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify / get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.
Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible / entertained after clicking the Final Submit Button.
The Name of the candidates of his / her Father / Husband etc. should spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates / Mark Sheets / Identity Proof. Any change found may disqualify the candidature.
Validate details and Save Application by clicking the "validate Your Details" and "Save & Next" Button.
Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature as per the specification given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature.
Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.
Click on the Preview Tab to Preview and verify the entire application form before Final Submit.
Click on Payment Tab and proceed the payment (if required).
Click on Submit button.
Take a print out receipt.
