Age Limit and Qualification:
Hindi Translator GD-II (Between 21 to 28 Years) - Masters Degree of a recognized University in Hindi / English with English Hindi as a compulsory / Elective Subject or as medium of examination at degree level.
Religious Teacher (Between 18 to 23 years) - Graduation with Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhusan in Hindi.
Building & Road (Between 18 to 23 years) - Matric or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Staff Nurse (Between 18 to 25 years) - Matriculation (10th) or equivalent. Diploma in Nursing from a recognized Council. Must have working knowledge of Hindi.
Clerk (Between 18 to 25 years) - Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from recognized Board / University or equivalent. English typing with minimum speed of 35 words per minute on computer or Hindi with minimum speed of 30 words per minute on computer (35 wpm in English and 30 wpm in Hindi corresponding to 10500 KDPH in English / 9000 KDPH in Hindi with average of 5 key depressions for each work on computer).
Personal Assistant (Between 18 to 25 years) - Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from recognized Board / University or equivalent. Diploma in stenography from recognized Institution. Dictation of 80 words per minute in 10 minutes and Transcription Time 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer.
Electrical Fitter Signal (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th Class pass with Science, Maths and English as subjects from a recognized Board.      
Lineman Filed (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized board with Industrial Training Institute certificate in electrician trade from a recognized institute.
Radio Mechanic (Between 18 to 23 Years) - 12th Pass or estimated from a recognized Board or University with Three (3) years Diploma in Radio and Television Technology or Electronics or Telecommunication or Computer or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Domestic appliance from a recognized University or Institute.
Armourer (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th class pass from a recognised board.
Engineer Artificer (Between 18 to 23 Years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized Board with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate in Automobile engineering trade from a recognized Institute.
Surveyor (Between 20 to 28 years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized Board and ITI Certificate in Surveyor from a recognized Institute.
m. Electrician (Between 18 to 23 Years) - 10th pass and possess ITI certificate in the Grade.
Plumber (Between 18 to 23 Years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized Board with ITI certificate in Plumber trade from a recognized Institute.
Nursing Assistant (Between 18 to 23 Years) - 10th Class pass with English, Mathematics and Science with Biology as subjects from a recognized Board.
OT Technician (Between 18 to 23 Years) - 12th Passed with Diploma in Physio therapist from a recognized board or University.
Physio Therapist (Between 18 to 23 Years) - 12th passed with Diploma in Physio therapist from a recognized Board or University.
Laboratory Assistant (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th Class with English, Maths and Science from a recognized Board.
Pharmacist (Between 20 to 25 Years) - 12th Passed or equivalent. Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy from any recognized institution of the Central or a State Government for which for period of training in two years followed by an internship of which the practical training shall not be less thaan five hundred hours spread over a period of not less than three months, provided that not less than two hundred and fifty hours are devoted to actual dispensing of prescriptions.
X ray Assistant (Between 18 to 23 years) - 12th pass with Diploma in radiology from a recognized Board or University.
Veterinary Field Assistant (Between 21 to 23 years) - 12th Pass with two years diploma certificate in veterinary science from recognized university / Institute with one year experience in Veterinary field.
Female Attendant / Aya (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized Board with English, Maths and Science.
Female Safai (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized Board.
Cook (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized Board.
Male Safai (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized Board.
Washerman (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized Board.
Barber (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized Board.
Equipment & Boot Repair (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th Class pas from a recognized Board.
Tailor (Between 18 to 23 Years) - 10th Class pass from a recognized Board.
Carpenter (Between 18 to 23 years) - 10th class pass from a recognized Board.
           
Age Relaxation:
1st January 2018 will be the cut off date for all candidates for determining above mentioned age criteria. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC / ST candidates.

Physical Standards for All Trades except Clerk and Personal Assistant:
All Unreserved category candidates - Height minimum 170 cms for Male / 157 cms for Female, Chest for Male candidates is 80 cm (Unexpanded), 85 cm (Expanded).
Candidates of Remote Area - Height minimum 165 cms for Male / 155 cms for Female, Chest for Male candidates is 78 cm (Unexpanded), 83 cm (Expanded).
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) - Minimum Height 162.5 cms for Male / 150 cms for Female, Chest for Male candidates is 76 cm (Unexpanded), 81 cm (Expanded).

Physical Standards for Clerk and Personal Assistant:
For Candidates except ST category - Height minimum 165 cms and Chest 77cm (Unexpanded), 82 cm (Expanded).
Candidates of Remote Area - Height minimum 162.5 cms and Chest 77 cm (Unexpanded), 82 cms (Expanded).
All candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories - Height minimum 162.5 cms and Chest 76 cm (Unexpanded), 81 cms (Expanded).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
PET will comprise the following-
For Male candidates 5 km run to qualify within 24 minutes.
For Female candidates 1.6 km run to qualify within 8.30 minutes.
No physical efficiency test will be held for Ex-serviceman, however Ex-serviceman will be required to pass the requisite Medical examination.

Written Test:
The question paper of written test will comprise of 100 marks. Minimum pass marks for General category / Ex Serviceman is 35% and SC / ST / OBC candidates 33% to enter in the next event.

Pay Scale:
Pay scale and other allowances will be as admissible to the Assam Rifles Personnel.

Centers for PST / PET:
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at following centres. The same will be mentioned in the call letters for each candidate separately. No option for choosing is available. Name of Centre is -
Diphu (Assam), Lokra (Assam), 3rd Mile Dimapur (Nagaland), Jorhat (Assam), Silchar (Assam), Shillong (Meghalaya).

Application Fees:
Application fee for the Trades Hindi Translator Grade-II, Religious Teacher, Building and Road and Staff Nurse is Rs.200.
Application Fee is Rs.100 for other trades as mentioned in this advertisement. The mode of payment of the application fee is as under -
The fees will be deposited online by the candidates applying through online system for which fee will be deposited online by the candidates applying through online system for which fee will be deposited into SBI Current Account No. 37088046712 in favour of HQ DGAR, Recruitment Branch, Shillong-10.
Candidates who are applying through Offline system the application fee will be deposited through Challan (Format) into Power Jyoti Account No 37139880824 in favour of HQ DGAR, Recruitment Branch, Shillong-10.
No fee is charged from candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Ex-serviceman and Female candidates.

How to Apply Process (Online):

At first visit on this portal, then click on Online Application.
The candidates will fill the requisite details as prescribed in the application form.
After the application has been filled up, the candidate has to option to make online payment via link given for online payment or alternative the payment can be made at SBI Bank Counters as well.
In both options the candidate will have to upload copy of the challan or receipt online.
Candidates while reporting for Physical Standard Test (PST) and Filed Trails will produce original copy of payment receipt / challan the application may be rejected.
The candidates will also produce the printed copy of online Application form duly completed and printed copy of Calling Letter downloaded from website, failing which the candidature of the applicants may be rejected.

At first visit on above portal, then Click to Download Application Format.
This option is applicable only to the candidates belonging from far flung & border areas of States of North Eastern Region (NER) of the country Ladakh Division of J&K, Sikkim, Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District, Lahual & Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh, A&N Island and Lakshdweep. However online applications will also be accepted from the aforesaid regions.
Offline application other than these regions will not be entertained.

The application along with self attested copies of Educational Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Caste Certificate, Diploma / Technical / ITI Certificate of the Trade in accordance with Qualitative Requirement and payment challn / receipt to be dispatched through a Registered Post to the address of - Directorate General Assam Rifles (Recruitment Branch), Laitkor, Shillong, Meghalaya - 793010.
