JK State Scholarship 2018-19 for SC / OBC / EBC / PCP (Prematric & Postmatric Level)

Organised by - Directorate of Social Welfare, Jammu and Kashmir.
State for - Jammu & Kashmir.
Scholarship for - Pre-Matric and Post-Matric level.
Eligibility - Class 1st to 10th (Pre-matric), XI, XII, Diploma, Degree, UG & PG Courses.

Scholarship for:
1. Other Backward Classes (OBC).
2. Economically Backward Classes (EBC).
3. Physically Challenged Students (PCP).
4. Scheduled Castes (SC).
5. Denotified Nomadic & Semi Nomadic Tribes (DNT).

Details of Scholarship:
Pre-Matric Scheme -
1. Scholarship for SC / OBC / PHC - Under this category scholarship is provided to the students studying in Pre Matric Classes (Class 1st to 10th). For SC Category no income bar, For Parental Income not to exceed Rs.2100 per Months, For Physically Handicapped Parental Income not to exceed Rs.44500 per Months.
2. Re-Imbursement of Exam Fees - The fee of board examination is reimbursed to students reading in Class 10th. For Sc category, there is no income bar, For OBC students monthly income should less than Rs.750 per months.
3. Special Coaching to SC Students - Under this scheme, all the student studying in class 9th to 12th belonging to SC category are being provided special coaching in their schools itself in three subject viz English, Mathematics, Science for the period of three months especially during the last three months of the academic year (December to February). The Funds are paid to the teachers engaged for coaching Rs.30 per subject per month for three months.
4. Scholarship for Children Whose Parents are Engaged in Unclean Occupation - Under this scheme, all the children studying in Class 1st to 10th, whose parents are engaged in unclean occupation are provided with pre-matric scholarship at the same rate they are provided to SC / OBC / Physically Challenged students. Under this scheme, one time additional adhoc grant Rs.750 per annum is also provided to the students.
5. Special Stipend to the children whose parents are suffering from Chronic diseases - Under this scheme, the children whose parents are suffering from chronic diseases and studying in classes 1st to 10th are provided with the pre-matric scholarship at par with the other categories.

Post Matric Level Scheme -
1. Scholarship to SC - It is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme wherein SC students provided financial assistance for pursuing Post Matriculation courses through recognized Institutions (Viz 11th / 12th / Degree Course / Technical Course, Professional Course etc.) The students of the higher secondary class, colleges, universities and professional college within the State as well as Outside the State are covered under the scheme and paid scholarship to those whose parents income from all source does not exceed Rs.25000/ per annum. Under this scheme non refundable and maintenance allowances is being provided to the students studying at the Post Matric Level in recognized Govt and Private Institutions.
2. Scholarship to OBC - It is a Centrally sponsored scheme wherein OBC students provided financial assistance for pursuing Post Matriculation courses through recognized Institution. The students of the higher secondary classes, colleges, universities and professional college within the State as well as Outside the State are covered under the scheme and paid scholarship to those whose parents income from all sources does not exceed Rs.100000 per annum. Under this scheme all non refundable fee and maintenance allowances is being provided to the students at the Post matric level in recognized Govt and Private Institution.

Scholarship to Physically Handicapped Students - It is a state sponsored scheme wherein PHC students provided financial assistance for pursuing Post matriculation courses through recognized Institution. The students of the higher secondary classes, colleges, university and professional colleges within the State as well as outside the state are covered under the scheme and paid scholarship to those whose parents income from all sources does not exceed Rs.44500/ per annum. Under this scheme all non refundable fee and maintenance allowances is being provided to the students at the Post matric Level in recognized Govt and Private Institution.

Special Coaching to SC Students - Under this scheme, all the students studying in class 11th and 12th belonging to SC category are being provided special coaching in their Schools itself in three subjects viz (English, Mathematics, Science) for the period of three months especially during the last three months of the academic year (December to February). 5. Children of those Whose Parents are engaged in Unclean Occupation - Under this scheme, all the children pursuing post matric courses in the recognized institutions within state and outside the state, whose parents are engaged in unclean occupation are provided with post-matric scholarship by the Department.

Required Documents for Online Application & Submitting:
The following documents in original shall be uploaded / attached with hard copy of the downloaded online application form -
a. One passport size Photograph.
b. Permanent Residence Certificate (State Subject Certificate).   
c. Fee Receipt.
d. Duly attested promotion certificate, in case student has passed previous examination / Mark sheets of previous class passed.
e. Valid Hosteler Certificate issued by the Institution.
f. Institute Recognition Certificate.
g. Attested Fee structure duly approved by Central / State Government (in case of Private recognized Institution).
h. Income certificate (Parents / Guardians current income certificate, in original, from the concerned Tehsildar, in case of students parents are not government employees. In case of wards of Government / Semi Government / PSU Employees, Salary certificate issued by the concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officers). 
i. Valid category certificate (OBC, SC, PHC, DNTs) from the competent authorities.
j. For Economically Backward Classes (EBC's) only those student who do not belonging to any category can apply (Other than categories).
k. Disability certificate (Indicating 40% or above disability) in case of Physically Challenged Students.
l. Aadhar Number along with xerox of Aadhar Card and seeding of Aadhar with Bank account will lead to smooth transaction of sanctioned amount of scholarship in favour of eligible students.
m. Mobile number is mandatory.
n. Affidavit to be submitted / enclosed with hard copy by the student for which the specimen of affidavit is as given official advertisement.
