SSC 10+2 Recruitment 2018 in total 3259 Posts. Post wise vacancy breakup is given below -
Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) - Total 898 Posts.
Postal Assistant (PA) / Sorting Assistant (SA) - Total 2359 Posts.
Data Entry Operator (DEO) - Total 2 Posts.

Age Limit:
Candidates required age should be between 18 to 27 years as on 01.08.2018 (Candidates born not before 02.08.1991 and not later than 01.08.2000).
Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC / ST category, 3 Years for OBC category candidates.
Relaxable up to 10 years for candidates belongs to PwD category, 13 Years for candidates belongs to PwD (OBC) category, 15 Years for candidates belongs to PWD (SC / ST) category.
For Ex-serviceman upper age is relaxable up to 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date.
Up to 40 years age for Central Govt. Civilian Employees who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date.
Up to 45 Years for Central Govt. Civilian Employees (SC / ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date.
All Others candidates age relaxable is applicable as per Government rules.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
For Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) - 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

Application Fee:
Application fee payable is Rs.100.
Fee can be paid through SBI Challan / SBI Net Banking or by using Visa / Mastercard / Maestro Credit / Debit Card.
Women candidates of all categories and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Persons with Disability (PwD) and Ex-serviceman (ExS) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor will it be adjusted against any other examination or selection.
Candidates who are not exempted from fee payment must ensure that their fee has been deposited with SSC. If the fee is not received by SSC, status of Application Form is shown incomplete and this information is printed on the top of the application form. Further such status can be verified a "Check Your Application Status Here" tab provided at ssconline.nic.in. Such applications which remain incomplete due to non-receipt of fee will be summarily rejected and no request for consideration of such applications and fee payment after the period specified in the Notice of Examination shall be entertained.
       
Scheme of Examination:
The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing / Skill Test (Tier-III).
Tier-I Examination - This is Objective Type Computer Based Examination. Date of CBE (Tier-I) between 04.03.2018 to 26.03.2018. This examination tier will consist Objective type - Multiple Choice questions only. The Questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-II, III & IV. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. Part I (English Language, 25 Questions) 50 Marks, Part-II (General Intelligence, 25 Questions) 50 Marks, Part-III (Quantitative Aptitude, 25 Question) 50 Marks & Part-IV (General Awareness, 25 Questions) 50 Marks. Total Duration of Examination is 60 Minutes (1 Hours).

Tier-II Examination - Tier-II paper will be a descriptive paper of 100 marks in Pen and Paper mode. The duration of the paper would be for one hour (20 minutes compensatory time will also be provided to the candidates mentioned in above). This paper has been introduced to assess the writing skills of the candidates which is necessary in Government jobs. The paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200 - 250 words and Letter / Application of Approximately 150 - 200 words. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33%. The performance in Tier-II would be included for preparing merit. The Paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. Part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.

Tier-III Examination - Tier-III of the Examination would be Skill Test / Typing Test which would be of qualifying nature. The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basic of total score obtained by them in Tier-I & Tier-II.
Skill Test for Data Entry Operator, Data Entry Speed of 8000 (Eight Thousands) Key Depressions per hour on Computer.
For Post of Data Entry Operator in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) a speed test of not less than 15000 key depression per hour for data entry work to be ascertained through speed on Computer.
Typing Test for LDC / JSA and Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant. Candidates opting for English medium should have typing speed of 35 words per minutes and those opting for Hindi medium should have typing speed of 30 words per minute.
